Make your own Dress Form

Threads has a great article on how to make your own dress form. Here is the one I made for myself to drape my wedding dress. My dad made the stand with metal pipes.

Try it yourself. Its moderately difficult to make and fairly inexpensive. It is pretty time consuming. I encourage you to try it for yourselves.

Pros:

• Its cheaper than buying a real dress form
• It is an exact clone of your body

Cons:

• Its hard to get it really firm
• Your pins get sticky from the tape
